My role is focused more on chronic, unresolved issues that require a different perspective to successfully treat. For example, you would see your primary care physician for a urinary tract infection but you would see me for chronic unresolved urinary tract infections where we would go deeper and look at biofilm, diet, and other factors.

The number one goal is to get you feeling better. A collaborate approach with your whole healthcare team is always best. I’m more than happy to work alongside your other physicians to optimize your health.

No. I do not prescribe or make recommendations about prescription medications or controlled substances. Your prescribing medical doctor will manage all medications.

If you require pharmaceutical medications typically I refer out to my extensive network of physicians to prescribe within their speciality such as holistic endocrinologists, holistic psychiatrists, or hormone health physicians.

I use natural, noninvasive methods such as nutritional therapy, herbs, supplements, stress management techniques and lifestyle changes to address the underlying causes of disease and promote optimal function and health.

Although, my scope allows me to use pharmaceuticals in my licensed states, these services do not provide pharmaceutical medications.

As an additional option and cost, I offer a broad variety of diagnostic tests to determine the most in-depth data around the root causes of your health issues. These diagnostic labs range from blood tests, hormone, genetic tests, medication check tests, and gut health tests, mold and environmental factor tests, and more.

I will help coordinate your tests, whether it is blood testing done at your local lab, convenient at-home mail-in testing, or a combination of both. Once completed, I will receive and evaluate the results and review and share all data with you. Based on these results and findings, we will create a customized plan for you.

As an additional option, I offer a full spectrum of clinical-grade supplements to my patients and clients that they can easily order online after our completed visits. I will customize and adjust each patient’s personalized supplement protocols based on results that the patient sees with each supplement suggested. Each patient has the ability to choose which supplements they want to move forward with based on their own budget. Supplements, vitamins, nutraceuticals, and botanical products are an additional cost in addition to the recommendations given during a consult or care plan.

The medicine I practice and the care that I give are not bound to one location but provided anywhere it is needed around the globe. I do not believe in the confines of a permanent space. It has been proven that energy and intention can be felt almost instantaneously, despite a physical presence in one area… and that is exactly how I practice medicine today.

Some testing and services may be covered by insurance, while others fall outside of conventional coverage. Much of this work exists beyond the standard insurance model and is considered elective within today’s healthcare system. Dr. Burklund does not take insurance directly. It is up to the individual to seek reimbursement.

We charge 50% of the price of your appointment when scheduling. After your visit, we will charge your card on file for the remaining cost of the visit. This pertains to the Standard and Comprehensive packages and the follow up visits. The Wholistic Plan and the Membership can be paid in monthly installments.
